We just received our copy of the Social Good Design Awards 2014 Annual here at the studio. RGD’s “So Good’s” give voice to the important work designers are doing and can do to change the way we think and act.
Shirley Riordon, Partner at Riordon, had the honour of sharing the stage as judge with a group of prestigious industry professionals in the Non-Profit category.
One of the entries that stood out was the “She Deserves It” Campaign for Women’s Crisis Services of Waterloo Region by Toronto design firm Intent. The provocative images by Lorella Zanetti help to punch home the message. Kudos to the Creative Direction of Ben Hagon.
Other acknowledged entries in this category included; 1,000 Acts of Kindness (rtraction / London), Approval Voting Video (Thought Café / Toronto), Camp Quality Identity (Parcel Design / Toronto), Coalition for Engaged Education Identity (Blok Design / Toronto), Elder Abuse prevention Campaign (The Public Studio, Toronto), Jane’s Walk Print Campaign (Studio Jaywall / Toronto), Klink Coffee Branding (GenesisXD / Toronto), Mafifa Poster (We are Michael Jackson / Rotterdam, Netherlands), Not Far From The Tree 2013 Yearbook (Projektor Brand Image / Toronto) Sick Kids Paediatric Orthopaedic Fellowship AR (Also Collective / Toronto), The Teresa Group Identity (Hambly & Woolley / Toronto), Ucycle Campaign (9 Lives Design / North Bay).
Good design, good causes and good outcomes are what this is all about. You can view the entire catalogue here.
